Current treatment techniques for neural diseases and disorders such as Alzheimer’s, schizophrenia, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism etc. are invasive. We are building critical tools that can non-invasively activate or block any part of the brain along studying their individual roles in functional networks. By doing this, full potential of neural modulation for neural disease treatment and alteration of, for example, addictive behaviors will be explored.
This involves electroencephalography (EEG) signal processing for cortical theory extraction and using them for robot arm control, neuron optical and ultrasonic excitation, and energy generations and other IEEE student branch related activities.

In the past, we focused on opto-electronics, which include MOCVD growth, near-infrared laser and detector, mid-infrared laser and their applications on chemical sensing.
